About.

Beginning in the late nineties, Lynette mastered polaroid transfers, before moving on to other alternative processes such as the tintype and cyanotype and traditional hand colouring. She now specialises in a range of alternative photographic processes, running workshops both locally and internationally.

Adding to her specialisation, Lynette holds a Ph.D. in historical studies, her topic being: the instant image: a critical and creative exploration of the one-off photographic image. Her thesis was an historical inquiry into alternative processing since the emergence of photography as a science and art form.

An accomplished lecturer in photography and design, Lynette has worked at RMIT, Photographic Studies College and Swinburne University.

Lynette lives in Melbourne, with her partner and heads north every now and then to sunny NSW to visit her daughter.
